Been a mom is hard, the normal everyday items should not be something added to the shoulders of the mom’s who child is in the hospital I work at.
So when Kim, Recycled Inc manager and hospital dietician, told me about the little cancer patients who were without yoghurt, custard and jelly, I could not sit back, work and then go home to feed my kiddies whatever they felt like.
I contacted a dear friend who runs M.A.D (Make A Difference). Christie was only happy to help out. With the donations of yoghurt, custard and jelly we received from M.A.D, we have been able to supply the cancer pediatric, adult and a few other wards with simple supplies for the last three weeks.
Here are a few pictures of the faces that had smiles on after they received their yoghurt. There where a number of patients who we did not photograph due to chemo, facial deformities or other sensitive exposures. On behalf of those patients, we say a HUGE thank you to Christie and all who donated to the drive. Every bit helps brighten the days of these patients.
I printed a selection of photographs and gave them to the patients, I wish you could have seen the smiles we got, missing teeth and all!

Kim and I are dying to know who our readers are, what our audience thinks, feels, knows, need to know and wants us to know about.
From the eco to the friendly, from kiddies and hubbys to pest and junk collections, whatever you think, the good, bad and the totally ridiculous – we want to know what you think.
We are so busy with our day jobs, taibo, kids, houses, pets and then by the time we get into bed at night, we have forgotten to ask all of you what is on your mind.
You would help us out hugely by letting us know of what’s happening in and around that we perhaps missed. Don’t be shy, we’ll love you all the same!
Happy recycling and commenting
Hayleigh
