We’ve been busy

I could definitely sleep for days – we’ve been hard to work making flags from the 32 participating 2010 world cup nations.  These flags have been made from “junk” fabric, bits and pieces, ribbon and other ends we could find.

The flags will be sent to CANSA in George for them to use during their campaigns in the coming year.  Although it has been eye straining work, the flags have taken shape nicely and look spectacular.

We are needing donations of embroidery or iron-on-tranfers of roughly 8 coat of arms.  These coat of arms are very intricate and try as I did to find a solution, I could not get the designs to look like they should.

Anyone who is able to help, please email us asap – happy recycling!

Wave Your Flag

Wave Your Flag – With the world cup completed and everyone at a loss at to what to do with themselves, we have a plan for all those who have flags, they are not sure what to do with…

We will be collecting flags, the large SA flags will be put up at needy schools to help them be super proud to be South African.  Smaller flags will be used to create proudly South African and other countries clothing, bags, etc.

All will be sold to help fund our school community garden project.  Give us your unwanted flags and we’ll make sure they get put to good use, and wave your flag… 🙂
