Holding Hands – For the Little People

While browing a site I visit regularly, I found a request for any child related items to help abandoned and orphaned children.  This I could not just read over, I had to find out more.  I emailed Christie and it turned out that Christie had bought a baby monitor from me a monthly earlier.  The monitor was for her “baby”.

Christie runs the Make A Difference programme designed to support abandoned, foster, orphaned and adopted children.  The programme also supports Breath of Life Ministries.  Breath of Life Ministries is a pregnancy crisis centre that counsels girls and women with unplanned pregnancies, assists them with ante-natal classes and support, as well as providing them with information of adoption as an option.

Already we have had many donations of toys which we are sorting, cleaning and mending if needed.  Hopefully we will be finished next week to handover the toys to Christie and her team for distribution 🙂

Apart from toys, there are a number of items they desperately need to help the children and their families.  Here’s a list of items they need on a continuous basis:

Baby items

  • Nappies
  • Wet Wipes
  • Milk Formula
  • Baby Cereal /  Porridge
  • Purity
  • Clothing, eg: vests, growers, booties/socks. bibs

Children Items:

  • Samp
  • Beans
  • Meilie Meal
  • Porridge
  • Soups
  •  Tinned foods
  • Long life milk
  • Margarine
  • Jam
  • Junice / Mix cooldrink
  • Clothing for ALL ages
  • Shoes

They are happy to collect anywhere in the East London area.  Contact Christie on 082 378 3213 or on email at
